Mississippi High School Basketball - East Side ripped by Velma Jackson

January 12, 2016: Camden, MS 39045

The Velma Jackson Falcons basketball team scored 62 points and held the visiting East Side Trojans to 36 in the Falcons league triumph on Tuesday.

The Falcons now sport a 11-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Yazoo County for a 3A Region 3 contest on Friday, January 15. Velma Jackson will meet a Panthers team coming off a 72-50 league loss to Humphreys County (Belzoni, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 1-12.

The Trojans (3-12) will now prepare for their contest against Ruleville Central (Ruleville, MS). The Tigers enter the 3A Region 3 contest with a 6-8 record. In their last contest, Ruleville Central triumphed over Amanda Elzy (Greenwood, MS), 49-41, in a league contest.
