Arizona High School Basketball - Mesa can't hold off Desert Mountain

The Desert Mountain Wolves basketball team scored 53 points and held the visiting Mesa Jackrabbits to 51 in the Wolves league triumph on Friday.

The Wolves now sport a 12-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Skyline for a I Section III contest on Tuesday, January 19. Desert Mountain will battle a Coyotes team coming off a 82-68 league loss to Desert Ridge (Mesa, AZ). The Coyotes record now stands at 1-15.

The Jackrabbits (14-3) will now prepare for their contest against Red Mountain (Mesa, AZ). The Mountain Lions enter the I Section III contest with a 10-8 record. In their last contest, Red Mountain nudged Chaparral (Scottsdale, AZ), 62-60, in a league contest.
