April 26, 2012: Medford, OR 97504 The Yreka Miners (Yreka, CA) baseball nipped the host Cascade Christian Challengers (Medford, OR), 5-4 in Thursday's non-league contest.
Coming up next, the Miners encounter the Anderson Cubs (Anderson, CA) in a Northern contest, on Tuesday, May 1. Yreka will attempt to better on its 15-9 season record. The Cubs come into the contest with a 10-10 record after their 11-1 league loss to West Valley (Cottonwood, CA).

Competitive game played on a cool, breezy Thursday evening at U.S. Cellular Field. Solid Pitching and errorless baseball by Yreka led to an extra inning 5-4 win. CCHS left 11 runners on base, 7 in scoring position, including ending the game with the bases packed.
Cody Coggins, Isaiah Luzny, and Luke Dusenbury all had three hits for the Challengers. Charles and Schuler led the Miners with 4 and 3 hits respectively.
