Game Summary
A tale of two halves, as they say. The first half was a mess...we'll leave it at that. The second half saw a much more inspired team support each other in a more positive way which led to many chances. The goalie made some saves, we hit the post, then we hit the crossbar off the goalie's tip, but ultimately found the net when Joey forced it in after a Jorden Wehrly scrum with about 15 min left. Seven minutes later Quidachay sacrificed his body by throwing his head at a ball in the box when a defender played his cleats high which drew the penalty kick...which Maurek converted with a shooter's roll after the goalie got his trailing hand to it. In the second OT Joiner ran down a Maurek through ball to a Hansen flick and then made the goalie guess wrong while cutting across the goal from close range to finish in an empty net. Great late performance boys!
