New York High School Basketball - North Tonawanda can't hold off Lockport
January 26, 2018: Lockport, NY 14094 The Lockport Lions basketball team scored 57 points and restricted the visiting North Tonawanda Lumberjacks to 53 in the Lions league victory on Friday.
The Lions now sport a 12-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Kenmore West for a Section 6 Niagara - Frontier contest on Tuesday, January 30. Lockport will battle a Blue Devils team coming off a 67-59 non-league loss to Sweet Home (Amherst, NY). The Blue Devils record now stands at 3-10.
The Lumberjacks (11-4) will now prepare for their contest against Niagara-Wheatfield (Sanborn, NY). The Falcons come into the Section 6 Niagara - Frontier contest with a 5-8 record. In their last contest, Niagara-Wheatfield was nudged by Niagara Falls (Niagara Falls, NY), 109-35, in a league contest.
