January 11, 2018: Falkner, MS 38629 The North Pontotoc Vikings (Ecru, MS) basketball crushed the host Falkner Eagles (Falkner, MS), 71-31 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Vikings (16-3) will now prepare for their test against Mantachie (Mantachie, MS). The Mustangs go into the 3A Region 1 test with a 6-14 record. In their last test, Mantachie was trounced by Belmont (Belmont, MS), 46-40, in a league test.
The Eagles now own a 3-14 record. They play next when they host Hickory Flat for a 1A Region 2 test on Tuesday, January 16. Falkner will encounter a Rebels squad coming off a 91-33 non-league loss to Center Hill (Olive Branch, MS). The Rebels record now stands at 2-15.
