The Valley Vikings basketball team scored 72 points and held the visiting Rio Grande Ravens to 63 in the Vikings league triumph on Thursday.

The Vikings now sport a 14-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Mesa for a 6A District 4 contest on Tuesday, February 13. Valley will meet a Mustangs team coming off a 67-56 league win over Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM). The Mustangs record now stands at 15-7.

The Ravens (6-16) will now prepare for their contest against Atrisco Heritage Academy (Albuquerque, NM). The Jaguars enter the 6A District 4 contest with a 20-2 record. In their last contest, Atrisco Heritage Academy ran past Highland (Albuquerque, NM), 68-57, in a league contest.
