The Varnado Wildcats basketball team scored 63 points and restricted the host Ridgewood Golden Eagles to 17 in the Wildcats league victory on Friday.

The Wildcats now sport a 7-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host J.S. Clark for a 1A District 8 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Varnado will battle a Bulldogs team coming off a 66-48 league loss to Covenant Christian Academy (Houma, LA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 1-12.

The Golden Eagles (0-13) will now prepare for their contest against Ecole Classique (Metairie, LA). The Spartans come into the 1A District 8 contest with a 3-8 record. In their last contest, Ecole Classique was routed by Covenant Christian Academy (Houma, LA), 67-42, in a league contest.
