Pennsylvania High School Basketball - West Allegheny can't hold off Shaler Area
January 10, 2018: Pittsburgh, PA 15209 The Shaler Area Titans basketball team scored 79 points and held the visiting West Allegheny Indians to 77 in the Titans non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Titans now sport a 7-6 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pine-Richland for a WPIAL 6A 1 contest on Tuesday, January 16. Shaler Area will battle a Rams team coming off a 72-57 league win over North Hills (Pittsburgh, PA). The Rams record now stands at 11-3.
The Indians (5-6) will now prepare for their contest against Moon Area (Moon Township, PA). The Tigers enter the WPIAL 5A 4 contest with a 14-1 record. In their last contest, Moon Area was nudged by Mars (Mars, PA), 72-64, in a league contest.
