The Ashbrook Greenwave baseball team (Gastonia, NC), was overwhelmed 18-7 in Wednesday's non-league outing with the visiting Palisades Pumas (Charlotte, NC)

The Pumas now hold a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they host Independence for a non-league outing on Thursday, April 18. Palisades will face a Patriots team coming off a 5-0 league win over Rocky River (Mint Hill, NC). The Patriots record now stands at 7-11.

Next, the Greenwave face the North Gaston Wildcats (Dallas, NC) in a Big South 3A outing, on Friday, April 19. Ashbrook will attempt to advance on its 4-13 season record. The Wildcats enter the outing with a 12-5 record after their 18-0 league win over Ashbrook (Gastonia, NC).
