The Montgomery Central Timberwolves basketball team (Troy, NC), was overwhelmed 71-45 in Friday's league battle with the host North Davidson Black Knights (Lexington, NC)

The Black Knights now possess a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Oak Grove for a 3A Conference 47 battle on Tuesday, January 31. North Davidson will confront a Grizzlies team coming off a 81-63 league loss to Asheboro (Asheboro, NC). The Grizzlies record now stands at 9-10.

The Timberwolves (2-17) will now prepare for their battle against Ledford (Thomasville, NC). The Panthers come into the 3A Conference 47 battle with a 11-8 record. In their last battle, Ledford trounced Central Davidson (Lexington, NC), 48-47, in a league battle.
