The Akron Rams basketball team scored 44 points and held the host Briggsdale Falcons to 37 in the Rams non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Rams now sport a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Wray for a 3A/2A Lower Platte contest on Friday, January 13. Akron will battle a Eagles team coming off a 69-47 non-league win over Burlington (Burlington, CO). The Eagles record now stands at 4-4.

The Falcons (4-1) will now prepare for their contest against Weldon Valley (Weldona, CO). The Warriors enter the 1A North Central contest with a 0-6 record. In their last contest, Weldon Valley was nudged by Nederland (Nederland, CO), 50-37, in a non-league contest.
