The Honesdale Hornets basketball team scored 53 points and held the host Wallenpaupack Area Buckhorns to 45 in the Hornets league triumph on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 3-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to East Stroudsburg South for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 14. Honesdale will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 78-74 league loss to East Stroudsburg North (Dingmans Ferry, PA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 10-2.

The Buckhorns (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against North Pocono (Covington Township, PA). The Trojans enter the Lackawanna 2 contest with a 6-5 record. In their last contest, North Pocono ran past Western Wayne (Lake Ariel, PA), 60-16, in a league contest.
