Arizona High School Basketball - Cortez overwhelmed by Moon Valley

The Moon Valley Rockets basketball team scored 66 points and restricted the visiting Cortez Colts to 45 in the Rockets non-league victory on Monday.

The Rockets now sport a 9-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Greenway for a 4A Skyline contest on Wednesday, January 11. Moon Valley will battle a Demons team coming off a 47-44 non-league loss to Dysart (El Mirage, AZ). The Demons record now stands at 0-12.

The Colts (4-12) will now prepare for their contest against Vista Grande (Casa Grande, AZ). The Spartans come into the 4A Black Canyon contest with a 0-12 record. In their last contest, Vista Grande was routed by Cesar Chavez (Laveen, AZ), 77-33, in a non-league contest.
