The Fairmont Golden Tornadoes football squad scored 61 points and restricted the visiting Red Springs Red Devils to 30 in the Golden Tornadoes league victory on Friday.

The Golden Tornadoes now possess a 5-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Whiteville for a 2A/1A Three Rivers battle on Friday, October 24. Fairmont will face a Wolfpack squad coming off a 63-28 league win over West Columbus (Cerro Gordo, NC). The Wolfpack record now stands at 6-2.

Coming up next, the Red Devils face the East Columbus Gators (Lake Waccamaw, NC) in a 2A/1A Three Rivers battle, on Friday, October 24. Red Springs will attempt to advance on its 1-7 season record. The Gators enter the battle with a 0-8 record after their 51-8 league loss to South Columbus (Tabor City, NC).
