West Virginia High School Basketball - Huntington knocked off by Fleming
January 28, 2023: Huntington, WV 25701 The Fleming Colonels basketball team scored 55 points and held the host Huntington Highlanders to 39 in the Colonels non-league triumph on Saturday.
The Colonels now sport a 14-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Lord Botetourt for a Blue Ridge contest on Tuesday, January 31. Fleming will meet a Cavaliers team coming off a 78-40 league win over Northside (Roanoke, VA). The Cavaliers record now stands at 13-5.
The Highlanders (9-7) will now prepare for their contest against Riverside (Belle, WV). The Warriors enter the Mountain State contest with a 7-10 record. In their last contest, Riverside ran past Capital (Charleston, WV), 61-34, in a league contest.
