The South Pontotoc Cougars (Pontotoc, MS) baseball nipped the visiting Lafayette Commodores (Oxford, MS), 10-9 in Monday's non-league contest.

The Commodores now sport a 15-11 record. They take the field next when they host Madison Central for a non-league contest on Tuesday, April 27. Lafayette will play a Jaguars squad coming off a 15-4 non-league win over Brandon (Brandon, MS). The Jaguars record now stands at 25-1.
