The Vega Longhorns (Vega, TX) football routed the visiting Highland Park Hornets (Amarillo, TX), 73-24 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Longhorns face the Panhandle Panthers (Panhandle, TX) in a non-league bout, on Friday, September 20. Vega will attempt to move on its 4-0 season record. The Panthers enter the bout with a 4-0 record after their 54-13 non-league win over Childress (Childress, TX).
