The Alief Taylor Lions (Houston, TX) football overcame the host Fort Bend Bush Broncos (Richmond, TX), 23-13 in Saturday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Lions face the Pearland Oilers (Pearland, TX) in a 6A Region III District 23 bout, on Thursday, September 26. Alief Taylor will attempt to move on its 1-2 season record. The Oilers enter the bout with a 3-0 record after their 45-0 non-league win over Cinco Ranch (Katy, TX).

The Broncos (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against Fort Bend Clements (Sugar Land, TX). The Rangers enter the 6A Region III District 20 bout with a 1-2 record. In their last bout, Fort Bend Clements was toppled by Paetow (Katy, TX), 48-7, in a non-league bout.
