Virginia High School Basketball - Trinity Christian ripped by Mount Vernon
December 7, 2012: Fairfax, VA 22030 The Mount Vernon Majors basketball team scored 73 points and held the host Trinity Christian to 44 in the Majors non-league triumph on Friday.
The Majors now sport a 2-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Hayfield for a AAA National contest on Tuesday, December 11. Mount Vernon will meet a Hawks team coming off a 70-53 non-league win over West Springfield (Springfield, VA). The Hawks record now stands at 1-3.
The (5-4) will now prepare for their contest against St. Stephen's & St. Agnes (Alexandria, VA). The Saints come into the non-league bout with a 3-1 record. In their last bout, St. Stephen's & St. Agnes was crushed by Bishop Ireton (Alexandria, VA), 72-58, in a non-league bout.
