The Webster Bearcats basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the host Groton Tigers to 36 in the Bearcats non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Bearcats now sport a 6-2 record. They play next when they travel to Britton-Hecla for a non-league contest on Thursday, January 22. Webster will meet a Braves team coming off a 42-40 non-league win over Ipswich (Ipswich, SD). The Braves record now stands at 3-5.

The Tigers (7-3) will now prepare for their contest against Roncalli (Aberdeen, SD). The Cavaliers come into the A District 2 contest with a 2-8 record. In their last contest, Roncalli was defeated by Leola/Frederick (Leola, SD), 43-39, in a league contest.
