The Calhoun Red Devils basketball team (Mt. Zion, WV), was overwhelmed 59-34 in Wednesday's league battle with the host South Harrison Hawks (Lost Creek, WV)

The Hawks now possess a 1-0 record. They play next when they travel to Gilmer County for a Little Kanawha contest on Saturday, December 13. South Harrison will confront a Titans team coming off a 69-35 league loss to Ravenswood (Ravenswood, WV). The Titans record now stands at 0-1.

The Red Devils (0-1) will now prepare for their contest against Parkersburg Catholic (Parkersburg, WV). The Crusaders enter the Little Kanawha contest with a 1-1 record. In their last contest, Parkersburg Catholic was routed by St. Joseph Central (Huntington, WV), 54-33, in a non-league contest.
