August 20, 2021: Shelbyville, TX 75973 The Shelbyville Dragons volleyball team scored 3 points and limited the visiting Burkeville Mustangs to 0 in the Dragons non-league victory on Friday.
The Dragons now have a 7-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to New Waverly for a non-league game on Saturday, August 21. Shelbyville will meet a Bulldogs team coming off a 3-0 non-league loss to Hull-Daisetta (Daisetta, TX). The Bulldogs record now stands at 2-7.
The Mustangs (0-1) will now prepare for their game against Bob Hope (Port Arthur, TX). The Eagles enter the non-league game with a 4-0 record. In their last game, Bob Hope gained a win over High Island (High Island, TX), 3-1, in a non-league game.
