The Pilot Point Bearcats football squad scored 18 points and limited the host Ponder Lions to 13 in the Bearcats league win on Friday.

The Bearcats now possess a 6-2 record. They play next when they host Boyd for a 3A-1 Region I District 4 battle on Friday, October 30. Pilot Point will play a Yellowjackets squad coming off a 49-14 league loss to Brock (Brock, TX). The Yellowjackets record now stands at 7-1.

Coming up next, the Lions play the Bowie Jackrabbits (Bowie, TX) in a 3A-1 Region I District 4 battle, on Friday, October 30. Ponder will attempt to advance on its 3-5 season record. The Jackrabbits go into the battle with a 3-5 record after their 35-7 league loss to Whitesboro (Whitesboro, TX).
