The St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers basketball team scored 56 points and restricted the host Essex Hornets to 24 in the Hilltoppers league victory on Thursday.

The Hilltoppers now sport a 9-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rice Memorial for a Metro contest on Monday, January 21. St. Johnsbury Academy will battle a Green Knights team coming off a 54-36 non-league win over South Burlington (South Burlington, VT). The Green Knights record now stands at 7-3.

The Hornets (6-4) will now prepare for their contest against Burlington (Burlington, VT). The Seahorses come into the Metro contest with a 4-5 record.
