Oregon High School Basketball - Henley topped by Cottage Grove
January 5, 2019: Cottage Grove, OR 97424 The Cottage Grove Lions basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the visiting Henley Hornets to 32 in the Lions non-league victory on Saturday.
The Lions now sport a 6-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Crook County for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 8. Cottage Grove will battle a Cowboys team coming off a 41-37 non-league loss to Estacada (Estacada, OR). The Cowboys record now stands at 1-10.
With the defeat, Henley moves to 8-7 on the year. The Hornets travel to Klamath Union (Klamath Falls, OR) to meet the Pelicans in a 4A Skyline match on Friday, January 11. The Pelicans enter the match with a record of 6-6. Klamath Union lost 70-24 in their recent non-league match against Marshfield (Coos Bay, OR)
