The Bedford Bisons (Bedford, PA) football edged the host Westmont Hilltop Hilltoppers (Johnstown, PA), 29-28 in Saturday's league bout.

In their next game, the Bisons face the Forest Hills Rangers (Sidman, PA) in a Laurel Highlands bout, on Friday, August 31. Bedford will attempt to advance on its 1-0 season record. The Rangers enter the bout with a 0-1 record after their 28-12 league loss to Chestnut Ridge (New Paris, PA).

The Hilltoppers (0-1) will now prepare for their bout against Bishop Guilfoyle (Altoona, PA). The Marauders enter the Laurel Highlands bout with a 1-0 record. In their last bout, Bishop Guilfoyle nudged Somerset (Somerset, PA), 17-0, in a league bout.
