California High School Football - Ponderosa felled by Rio Linda

September 28, 2018: Shingle Springs, CA 95682

The Ponderosa Bruins football team (Shingle Springs, CA), was knocked off 42-32 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Rio Linda Knights (Rio Linda, CA)

The Knights (5-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Placer (Auburn, CA). The Hillmen come into the Foothill Valley challenge with a 6-0 record. In their last challenge, Placer knocked off Nevada Union (Grass Valley, CA), 63-12, in a league challenge.

The Bruins now sport a 5-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lincoln for a Foothill Valley challenge on Friday, October 5. Ponderosa will meet a Fighting Zebras team coming off a 28-3 league win over Oakmont (Roseville, CA). The Fighting Zebras record now stands at 3-3.
