The Big Walnut Golden Eagles football team (Sunbury, OH), was beaten 31-17 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting Newark Wildcats (Newark, OH)

The Wildcats (4-2) will now prepare for their challenge against New Albany (New Albany, OH). The Eagles come into the Ohio Capital - Capital challenge with a 3-3 record. In their last challenge, New Albany achieved victory over Canal Winchester (Canal Winchester, OH), 38-7, in a league challenge.

The Golden Eagles now sport a 1-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Franklin Heights for a Ohio Capital - Capital challenge on Friday, October 7. Big Walnut will meet a Falcons team coming off a 35-7 league win over Groveport-Madison (Groveport, OH). The Falcons record now stands at 6-0.
