The Fort Cherry Rangers (McDonald, PA) football routed the visiting Mapletown Maples (Greensboro, PA), 48-8 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Rangers face the Carmichaels Mighty Mikes (Carmichaels, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 2 bout, on Friday, October 21. Fort Cherry will attempt to move on its 7-0 season record. The Mighty Mikes enter the bout with a 6-1 record after their 46-0 league win over Jefferson-Morgan (Jefferson, PA).

The Maples (4-4) will now prepare for their bout against Jeannette (Jeannette, PA). The Jayhawks enter the non-league bout with a 8-0 record. In their last bout, Jeannette walloped Greensburg Central Catholic (Greensburg, PA), 56-0, in a league bout.
