The Hale Center Owls basketball team scored 68 points and held the visiting Lorenzo Hornets to 64 in the Owls non-league triumph on Tuesday.

The Owls now sport a 2-2 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Farwell for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 9. Hale Center will battle a Steers team coming off a 51-44 non-league loss to Dimmitt (Dimmitt, TX). The Steers record now stands at 4-1.

The Hornets (2-4) will now prepare for their contest against Slaton (Slaton, TX). The Tigers enter the non-league contest with a 6-4 record.
