New Mexico High School Basketball - Valencia can't hold off Santa Teresa
December 29, 2021: Santa Teresa, NM 88021 The Santa Teresa Desert Warriors basketball team scored 63 points and held the visiting Valencia Jaguars to 60 in the Desert Warriors non-league triumph on Wednesday.
The Desert Warriors now sport a 3-9 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Belen for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 4. Santa Teresa will battle a Eagles team coming off a 57-51 non-league win over Taos (Taos, NM). The Eagles record now stands at 9-4.
The Jaguars (3-11) will now prepare for their contest against Bloomfield (Bloomfield, NM). The Bobcats enter the non-league contest with a 4-6 record. In their last contest, Bloomfield was nudged by Farmington (Farmington, NM), 68-32, in a non-league contest.
