The Vashon Island Pirates basketball team scored 44 points and restricted the host Northwest House to 40 in the Pirates non-league victory on Tuesday.

The Pirates now sport a 3-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Kent-Meridian for a non-league contest on Saturday, December 14. Vashon Island will battle a Royals team coming off a 72-58 league loss to Kentwood (Covington, WA). The Royals record now stands at 1-4.

The House (3-1) will now prepare for their contest against Bear Creek (Redmond, WA). The Grizzlies come into the 1A Emerald City contest with a 1-2 record. In their last contest, Bear Creek was nudged by Eastside Prep (Kirkland, WA), 58-53, in a league contest.
