The Velma Jackson Falcons basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the host St. Andrew's Episcopal Saints to 38 in the Falcons league victory on Tuesday.

The Falcons now sport a 14-5 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to McLaurin for a 3A Region 6 contest on Friday, January 17. Velma Jackson will battle a Tigers team coming off a 93-4 league loss to Yazoo County (Yazoo City, MS). The Tigers record now stands at 2-14.

The Saints (16-3) will now prepare for their contest against Crystal Springs (Crystal Springs, MS). The Tigers come into the 3A Region 6 contest with a 4-12 record. In their last outing, Crystal Springs thwarted Magee (Magee, MS), 65-59, in a league outing.
