Game Summary
Yesterday, the Mountain View Spartans dropped a league game against league leader Los Altos Eagles. Senior Eagle pitcher, Ali Goldberg proved to be too much for the Spartans to handle, both in the pitcher’s circle, and in the batter’s box. Goldberg (triple) and Amanda Jones led Los Altos with two hits each.
Mountain View played well, though, and played errorless softball. The biggest threat of the game for the Spartans came in the 4th inning, when freshman Jacky Olivares blooped a one-out single into right field. Senior Brittany Harper followed up with a single to left-center, advancing Olivares to third. When Senior captain Mateo came up to bat, she lined a shot into left center, as well, scoring Olivares. Freshman pitcher, Athena Bolin, continued the rally with yet another single to the same location. The one-out rally prompted ended with two consecutive outs.
