October 4, 2022: Lillington, NC 27546 The Western Harnett Eagles soccer team (Lillington, NC), was overwhelmed 9-0 in Tuesday's non-league outing with the visiting Lee County Yellow Jackets (Sanford, NC)
With the win, Lee County advances its record to 10-4 on the campaign. The Yellow Jackets travel to Scotland (Laurinburg, NC) to play the Fighting Scots in a Sandhills 3A/4A outing on Friday, October 7. The Fighting Scots go into the outing with a record of 3-8. Scotland lost 5-2 in their recent league outing against Union Pines (Cameron, NC)
In their next game, the Eagles play the Overhills Jaguars (Spring Lake, NC) in a All American 3A/4A outing, on Wednesday, October 5. Western Harnett will attempt to advance on its 4-9 season record. The Jaguars go into the outing with a 7-5 record after their 9-0 league win over E.E. Smith (Fayetteville, NC).
