California High School Softball - Community Charter loses to Los Angeles International
April 4, 2013: Los Angeles, CA 90042 The Los Angeles International Bulldogs softball team scored 18 runs and limited the visiting Community Charter Titans to 9 in the Bulldogs non-league triumph on Thursday.
With the triumph, Los Angeles International improves its record to 4-1 on the season. The Bulldogs travel to Hoover (Glendale, CA) to confront the Tornadoes in a non-league battle on Saturday, April 13. The Tornadoes go into the battle with a record of 2-4.
The Titans now possess a 0-1 record. They play next when they host Los Angeles International for a non-league battle on Thursday, April 18.
Game Summary
Off to a slow start, the Lady Bulldogs found themselves tied at the top of the 4th inning. At the bottom of the 4th inning, the Lady Bulldogs took a great lead by 10 runs. Dalia Galvin with a huge triple, clearing up bases loaded with 2 outs, got the Lady Bulldogs back in the lead and scoring 10 runs total that inning. Amazing performances again by team leaders, Madalyn Roberts, Alejandra Ruiz and Jocey Escobedo who played hard as always. Breaking out with her amazing performance today was Bobbie Rabago who was on base 5 times with 4 stolen bases, 2 hits, 2 base on balls, 3 runs scored and 1 RBI. Along with that, she made 2 spectacular defensive plays. Ways to go Cover Girl!
