The Alcorn Central Bears football team (Glen, MS), was knocked off 21-13 in Friday's non-league challenge with the visiting Tishomingo County Braves (Iuka, MS)

The Braves (1-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Strayhorn (Sarah, MS). The Mustangs come into the non-league challenge with a 1-0 record. In their last challenge, Strayhorn knocked off Myrtle (Myrtle, MS), 14-0, in a non-league challenge.

The Bears now sport a 0-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Thrasher for a non-league challenge on Friday, September 1. Alcorn Central will meet a Rebels team coming off a 40-12 non-league win over Middleton (Middleton, TN). The Rebels record now stands at 1-0.
