Virginia High School Football - Honaker victorious over Rye Cove

September 8, 2023: Clinchport, VA 24244

The Honaker Tigers (Honaker, VA) football overcame the host Rye Cove Eagles (Clinchport, VA), 40-32 in Friday's non-league bout.

In their next game, the Tigers face the Holston Cavaliers (Damascus, VA) in a Hogoheegee bout, on Friday, September 15. Honaker will attempt to move on its 3-0 season record. The Cavaliers enter the bout with a 2-1 record after their 13-12 non-league win over John Battle (Bristol, VA).

The Eagles (2-1) will now prepare for their bout against Thomas Walker (Ewing, VA). The Pioneers enter the Cumberland bout with a 2-1 record. In their last bout, Thomas Walker thwarted Castlewood (Castlewood, VA), 36-13, in a league bout.
