The Union Parish Farmers football squad scored 28 points and restricted the visiting Homer Pelicans to 21 in the Farmers non-league victory on Thursday.

The Farmers now possess a 1-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Airline for a non-league battle on Friday, September 8. Union Parish will play a Vikings squad coming off a 53-42 non-league win over North DeSoto (Stonewall, LA). The Vikings record now stands at 1-0.

Coming up next, the Pelicans play the Minden Crimson Tide (Minden, LA) in a non-league battle, on Friday, September 8. Homer will attempt to advance on its 0-1 season record. The Crimson Tide enter the battle with a 0-1 record after their 43-41 non-league loss to Parkway (Bossier City, LA).
