The Martinsville Bulldogs basketball team (Martinsville, VA), was nudged 45-44 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Halifax County Comets (South Boston, VA)

The Comets now sport a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Park View for a non-league battle on Monday, December 10. Halifax County will battle a Dragons team coming off a 92-37 league win over Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech (Petersburg, VA). The Dragons record now stands at 3-2.

The Bulldogs (2-1) will now prepare for their battle against George Washington (Danville, VA). The Eagles come into the Piedmont battle with a 3-0 record. In their last battle, George Washington edged Heritage (Lynchburg, VA), 77-59, in a non-league battle.
