The Mountain View Bears (Lawrenceville, GA) basketball nipped the host Lanier Longhorns (Sugar Hill, GA), 50-49 in Saturday's non-league contest.

The Bears now sport a 9-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to South Gwinnett for a non-league contest on Thursday, December 20. Mountain View will battle a Comets team coming off a 78-39 non-league win over Central Gwinnett (Lawrenceville, GA). The Comets record now stands at 7-5.

The Longhorns (6-3) will now prepare for their contest against Walnut Grove (Walnut Grove, GA). The Warriors come into the non-league contest with a 6-4 record. In their last contest, Walnut Grove edged North Oconee (Bogart, GA), 76-53, in a non-league contest.
