The Bishop Sullivan Catholic Crusaders basketball team scored 80 points and restricted the host Northeastern Eagles to 56 in the Crusaders non-league victory on Monday.
The Crusaders now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nansemond-Suffolk Academy for a Tidewater Independent contest on Tuesday, January 22. Bishop Sullivan Catholic will battle a Saints team coming off a 50-42 league win over Hampton Roads Academy (Newport News, VA). The Saints record now stands at 12-4.
The Eagles (3-7) will now prepare for their contest against Bertie (Windsor, NC). The Falcons come into the Northeastern Coastal 2A contest with a 9-6 record. In their last contest, Bertie triumphed over Pasquotank County (Elizabeth City, NC), 68-55, in a league contest.
