The Our Lady of Good Counsel Falcons (Olney, MD) basketball nipped the visiting Academy of the Holy Cross Tartans (Kensington, MD), 51-47 in Tuesday's league test.

The Falcons (16-3) will now prepare for their test against St. John's (Washington, DC). The Cadets go into the Washington Catholic test with a 13-4 record. In their last test, St. John's got by Paul VI (Fairfax, VA), 75-54, in a non-league test.

The Tartans now own a 10-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Seton for a Washington Catholic test on Friday, January 20. Academy of the Holy Cross will clash with a squad coming off a 52-41 league win over Bishop McNamara (Forestville, MD). The record now stands at 13-6.
