The Alleghany Trojans (Sparta, NC) football defeated the host Elkin Elks (Elkin, NC), 8-0 in Friday's league bout.

In their next game, the Trojans face the Starmount Rams (Boonville, NC) in a Mountain Valley 1A/2A bout, on Friday, November 6. Alleghany will attempt to move on its 3-8 season record. The Rams enter the bout with a 6-4 record after their 16-6 league win over Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC).

The Elks (1-9) will now prepare for their bout against Ashe County (West Jefferson, NC). The Huskies enter the Mountain Valley 1A/2A bout with a 5-5 record. In their last bout, Ashe County was toppled by Starmount (Boonville, NC), 16-6, in a league bout.
