The Champlain Valley Union Red Hawk (Hinesburg, VT) football routed the host St. Johnsbury Academy Hilltoppers (St. Johnsbury, VT), 49-13 in Saturday's league bout.

In their next game, the Red Hawk face the Colchester Lakers (Colchester, VT) in a Division I bout, on Friday, October 2. Champlain Valley Union will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Lakers enter the bout with a 2-3 record after their 35-14 league loss to Brattleboro (Brattleboro, VT).

The Hilltoppers (3-3) will now prepare for their contest against Rice Memorial (South Burlington, VT). The Green Knights go into the Division I contest with a 1-4 record. In their last contest, Rice Memorial was routed by Hartford (White River Junction, VT), 54-12, in a league contest.
