The Oil City Oilers football team (Oil City, PA), was beaten 44-34 in Friday's league challenge with the visiting DuBois Beavers (DuBois, PA)

The Beavers (3-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Bradford (Bradford, PA). The Owls come into the District 10 Region 5 AAA/AAAA challenge with a 0-6 record. In their last challenge, Bradford was beaten by Franklin (Franklin, PA), 56-21, in a league challenge.

The Oilers now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they travel to Titusville for a non-league challenge on Friday, October 16. Oil City will meet a Rockets team coming off a 55-13 league loss to Corry (Corry, PA). The Rockets record now stands at 0-6.
