Iowa High School Football - New Hampton topples Waukon
October 16, 2009: Waukon, IA 52172 The New Hampton Chickasaws (New Hampton, IA) football defeated the host Waukon Indians (Waukon, IA), 34-7 in Friday's league bout.
In their next game, the Chickasaws face the Oelwein Huskies (Oelwein, IA) in a 3A District 3 bout, on Friday, October 23. New Hampton will attempt to advance on its 6-2 season record. The Huskies enter the bout with a 5-3 record after their 21-0 league win over Crestwood (Cresco, IA).
The Indians (2-6) will now prepare for their bout against Independence (Independence, IA). The Mustangs enter the 3A District 3 bout with a 0-8 record. In their last bout, Independence lost by West Delaware (Manchester, IA), 50-18, in a league bout.
