The Girard Yellowjackets football team (Girard, PA), was beaten 24-14 in Friday's non-league challenge with the host Corry Beavers (Corry, PA)

The Beavers (3-0) will now prepare for their challenge against Meadville (Meadville, PA). The Bulldogs come into the District 10 Region 5 AAA challenge with a 1-2 record. In their last challenge, Meadville was beaten by East (Erie, PA), 34-7, in a non-league challenge.

The Yellowjackets now sport a 2-1 record. They take the field next when they host Seneca for a District 10 Region 4 AA challenge on Saturday, September 26. Girard will meet a Bobcats team coming off a 41-6 league loss to Fairview (Fairview, PA). The Bobcats record now stands at 2-1.
