September 11, 2009: Winchester, KS 66060 The Jefferson County North Chargers (Winchester, KS) football nudged the visiting Doniphan West Mustangs (Highland, KS), 7-6 in Friday's league bout.
In their next game, the Chargers clash with the Valley Falls Dragons (Valley Falls, KS) in a Delaware Valley bout, on Friday, September 18. Jefferson County North will attempt to move on its 1-1 season record. The Dragons enter the bout with a 0-2 record after their 21-20 non-league loss to Atchison County (Effingham, KS).
The Mustangs (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Pleasant Ridge (Easton, KS). The Rams come into the Delaware Valley game with a 2-0 record. In their last game, Pleasant Ridge got by Wathena (Wathena, KS), 42-6, in a league game.
